Chotikabhukkana Lady Vols’ Low Scorer Tuesday at NCAA Regionals

WESTFIELD, Ind. – Manassanan Chotikabhukkana carded an impressive bogey-free 69 (-3) in the second round of NCAA Regionals at The Club at Chatham Hills on Tuesday, marking the lowest single-round score (relative to par) of her career.
 
The freshman started the day strong, notching three birdies to shoot 3-under on the first nine holes and held steady to make par on the back nine. Chotikabhukkana’s 3-under round marks her 15th round of par or better and second round in the 60s this season. She is tied for 19th place at even par with one round to go.
 
After shooting 1-under in the first round, Vanessa Gilly recorded a 2-under on the back nine to post a 73 on day two, leaving her tied for 19th place ahead of the final round. Angela Arora also shot +1 (73) during Tuesday’s round and is tied for 27th place.
 
Emily Hawkins and Caroline Patterson both carded a 77 (+5) in the second round and are tied for 49th and 53rd place, respectively. As a team, the Lady Vols shot +6 (294) on day two and is in ninth place at +6 (582) ahead of Wednesday.
