Landscapes Golf Management adds three clubs to its management portfolio

Landscapes Golf Management added Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, Maryland; Whispering Creek Golf Club in Sioux City, Iowa; and Lexington Golf & Country Club in Lexington, Virginia, to its portfolio in the past month.

The member-owned private Hillendale club retained Landscapes Golf Management to shepherd the club into its second century.  It features an 18-hole course that was originally designed by William and David Gordon with updates by renowned architects George Fazio, Tom Clark, Bob Cupp and Lester George. Amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts and gourmet dining experiences.

“It is important for Hillendale to change with the times,” said Gabrielle Hart, President of Hillendale.  “Landscapes Golf Management is well known for blending its modern approach to business and a high standard of multi-generational, member-first hospitality.”

At the semi-private Whispering Creek, Landscapes Golf Management is geared to evolve the operation while focusing on reinvestment in the physical plant, both on- and off-course, and growing annual memberships and daily-fee play. Built in 2000, it twice hosted the Iowa Amateur tournament and is home to local college and high school teams.

Landscapes will manage business strategy and planning, golf course maintenance, clubhouse operations, and more for Lexington, the second-oldest club in Virginia.

Less than four miles from Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute in central Virginia, Lexington Golf & Country Club boasts well-known alumni and residents of the bustling college town as members. In addition, Washington and Lee’s men’s and ladies’ golf teams, each ranked in the top 10 of Division III, call Lexington G&CC their home course.
