A native of Hobe Sound, Fla., Smith carded six birdies in round one en route to shooting a 2-under, 68.  She opened Tuesday’s action with a slow start at 3-over through six holes, but got hot birding holes 7-9 to return to even par.  After a bogey on No. 10, Smith parred seven straight holes and then rolled in a birdie on No. 18 to finish with a 70.

Chen birdied the first two holes to open the tournament and finished round one of stroke play qualifying with a 2-under, 68.  A product of Sugar Land, Texas, Chen played her final eight holes at 1-under-par on Tuesday to finish with a 73.

Li, who is from Basking Ridge, N.J., shot a 74 in round one and played her final 15 holes of the second round at 2-under-par to finish with a 1-under, 69.

Match play brackets will be released late on Tuesday evening.
