Women's Golf Finishes Day 2 of Badger Invitational


FITCHBURG, Wis. –  Rutgers women’s golf wrapped up play on day two of the Badger Invitational on Monday afternoon. 

The Scarlet Knights sit in 14th place after the second round of competition at University Ridge Golf Course. Leigha Devine once again paced RU with an even-par 72 on day two. Overall, Devine sits in a tie for 20th place with one round remaining.

Devine started the day strong, putting in back-to-back birdies on No. 11 and 12 after parring her first hole of the round. She would also par No. 9 – her final hole of the day – to post a 2-over 146 (74-72) through two rounds. 

Lucrezia Rossettin moved up the leaderboard thanks in part to four birdies on the day. She birdies holes No. 2, 4 and 5 to shoot an even-par 36 on the back nine and a 3-over 75 on the day. She is tied with a pair of teammates – Cathi Graf and Rikke Nordvik – at t-57 on the leaderboard with a two-day score of 10-over 154 (79-76). 

Nordvik matched her day one score with another 5-over 77, rolling in 14 pars in her second round. Graf birdied No. 11 and 15 and improved on her first round by two strokes with a 4-over 76.

Lorena Rossettin rounded out the team performances with a 7-over 79. She parred all of her final nine holes on the day and is in a tie for 70th after a two-round score of 11-over 155 (76-79).

Competing as an individual,  Krystal Li rolled in 13 pars in her second round and is in a tie for 77th on the leaderboard.
