Terrapins Wrap Up at Briar's Creek


JOHNS ISLAND, SC — The Maryland women’s golf team wrapped up competition at the Briar’s Creek Invitational Tuesday at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, S.C. The Terrapins tied for 10th of 17 teams competing.

Sophomore Nicha Kanpai led the Terrapins and tied for 21st with her score of 219 (73-73-73), which was +3. Fifth-year Maria Vittoria Corbi tied for 25th with a score of 220 (74-75-71). She moved up 20 spots with her one-under 71 in Tuesday’s third round. Junior Panassaya Somchit tied for 29th with a score of 221 (73-74-74), which was +5.

Senior Patricie Mackova earned a score of 228 (79-78-71) and sophomore Tammy Wu earned a score of 233 (79-78-76).

Maryland earned a score of 888 (299-300-289), which was +24.

Next, Maryland will compete in the Clemson Invitational March 22-24 in Sunset, S.C.
