Blue Devils Set to Close Regular Season at Old Barnwell Match Play


DURHAM The ninth-ranked Duke women’s golf program is set to close the regular season by traveling to Aiken, S.C., to compete in the Old Barnwell Match Play at Old Barnwell on March 25-26. 
 
Competing in the event will be Duke, Florida State, Mississippi State and South Carolina. 
 
All teams will play two matches on Monday, followed by one match on Tuesday.  The format will include six golfers competing with five counting towards team matches. 
 
Duke will field a lineup that includes graduate student Emma McMyler, senior Phoebe Brinker, senior Anne Chen, junior Rylie Heflin, sophomore Andie Smith and freshman Katie Li
 
The Blue Devils currently feature five golfers ranked in the top-120 of the national rankings – McMyler (58), Li (68), Brinker (96), Chen (100) and Smith (117).  Li is coming off claiming her first collegiate victory at the Florida State Match Up. 
 
Duke owns two wins on the season at the Landfall Tradition to conclude the fall and the Florida State Match Up.
