Women's Golf Travels to Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational This Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Penn State women’s golf team resumes play after a month off at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in its final tune up before the B1G Championships next weekend.

The Nittany Lions will be making their third consecutive trip to the Buckeye Invitational after finishing third last spring.

Penn State is poised to close the season strong this week at the par-72, 6,319-yard Scarlet Course at the Ohio State Golf Club.

The format of the 2024 Buckeye Invitational provides a great chance for the Nittany Lions to prepare for the B1G Championships next week as opposed to the normal five count four events they usually play, this weekend will feature the same six count four format used at the B1G Championships.

The field will also be Big Ten heavy as along with the Nittany Lions and host Buckeyes, nine of the other 10 teams competing are from the Big Ten as Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin are also in the field with Kent State rounding out the 12-team field.

Play will begin on Saturday morning with 36 continuous holes following an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and will conclude on Sunday morning with a second 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Live scoring for the duration of the tournament will be available HERE.
