Women’s Golf | April 16, 2024

SAN FRANCISCO — USC women’s golf sophomore Catherine Park (Irvine, Calif./Crean Lutheran) was named Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of Apr. 8-14; the league announced on Tuesday, Apr. 16.

Park earned the honor for the second time this season as she registered her second collegiate win at the Silverado Showdown, Apr. 8-10. The sophomore was the lone player to shoot under par for each round, posting a 69-70-70 (-7) on her way to sharing the individual title. Park now has two title victories on the season, as she won the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 20-22) at seven-under-par. The sophomore is now tied for the sixth most tournament wins in a season in USC history.

Park helped her team to its third tournament title of the season (first in the spring), as the Trojans shot 868 (+4) to tie Northwestern for the title. The last time USC won three or more tournaments in a season was the 2020-21 season.

Park and the Trojans return to action this weekend to defend their Pac-12 crown at the Pac-12 Championship. The tournament is set to start on Sunday, Apr. 21, and end on Tuesday, Apr. 23, at the Palouse Ridge Golf Course in Pullman, Washington.
