Hanna 1-Over Par at Big Ten Championships – University of Iowa Athletics

HAVRE DE GRACE, Maryland – Sophomore Kaitlyn Hanna paced the University of Iowa women’s golf team, firing a one-over par 73 on the opening day of the 2024 Big Ten Championships at the Bulle Rock Golf Course.

Playing in her second Big Ten Championships, Hanna had 13 pars and a pair of birdies en route to her 73. She is currently tied for 16th place heading into round two.

The Hawkeyes fired a 12-over par 300, putting the team in ninth place – eight shots out of fifth place.

Sophomores Riley Lewis and Madison Dabagia are both in the top 33 on the individual leaderboard. Lewis had three birdies to tally a two-over par 74, putting her in a tie for 25th place, while Dabagia is tied for 33rd with a 75.

Michigan State leads the field by eight shots, firing a nine-under par 279. Northwestern’s Lauryn Nguyen is atop the individual leaderboard with a five-under par 67.
