Academic Services March Student-Athletes of the Month


PULLMAN, Wash. (April 24, 2024) – Washington State’s Jack Lee (Baseball) and Sarah Skovgaard-Bils (Women’s Golf) were named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for March 2024.
 
Lee, a senior lefthander from Sydney, Australia, owns a 3.49 GPA while majoring in strategic communications with a focus on public relations. Lee, who transferred from CSU Bakersfield prior to the 2022 season was named to the Pac-12 Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll last season and has appeared in 19 games for the Cougars during the 2022 and 2024 seasons. Lee has battled back from an injury that forced him to miss the 2023 season, this season Lee has appeared in seven games and recorded three strikeout in six innings, recorded the final out of the March 8 win over Utah, pitched scoreless innings at Gonzaga April 9 and struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings at No. 19 Arizona last Saturday.
 
Skovgaard-Bils, a junior from Virum, Denmark, owns a 3.71 GPA while majoring in business with a focus on finance. Bils has served WSU in a student leadership role throughout athletics, working as a PAC counselor last fall and helped with the leadership academy. On the course this season, she totaled five rounds of par-or-better including a low-round score of 70 in the second round of the Fresno State Classic, and finished with a 4-over score of 220 at the 2024 Pac-12 Championships to finish tied for 32nd. 
 
Each month Washington State Academic Services honors two student-athletes who demonstrate commitment to academics while participating in their sport.
