Sheehan Pacing Penn State Through Opening Round of Big Ten Championships


Big Ten Championships Day One Results
 
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Patrick Sheehan is in the top 15 to pace the Penn State men’s golf team as the first of three rounds of the Big Ten Championships at Scioto Golf Club concluded Friday.
 
The Nittany Lions are tied for 10th in the 14-team field after shooting a 14-over, 294, in Friday’s opening round. The fourth through 10th place teams, including Penn State, are separated by just four strokes in the tight team race.
 
Sheehan is tied for 14th after shooting a 2-over, 72, Friday. Jake Griffin and Jimmy Meyers both follow closely behind in a tie for 23rd after carding a 3-over, 73, in the opening round.
 
Billy Pabst Jr. shot a 5-over, 76, and sits tied for 50th while Morgan Lofland is tied for 64th after shooting a 9-over, 79.
 
The second of three rounds at the Big Ten Championships gets underway with 9 a.m. tee times Saturday. Live scoring will be available via GolfStat.
