Notre Dame-Hosted Tournament Gets Underway Sunday In South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The California men’s golf team will get its 2022 fall season underway at Warren Golf Course this weekend when it takes part in the Fighting Irish Classic, hosted by Notre Dame. The 54-hole, two-day event will feature 15 teams and will start Sunday and run through Monday.
The Golden Bears, led by seventh-year Alex and Marie Shipman Director of Men’s Golf, Walter Chun, will tee off starting at 5:30 a.m. PT/8:30 a.m. ET Sunday with Kent State and Pac-12 counterpart Colorado.

An All-Pac-12 Team honorable mention in 2021-22 … Averaged 71.84 strokes per round as a sophomore last season, ranking second on the team … Posted five top-25 finishes in 2021-22, including a career-best third-place showing at The Goodwin (66-66-67 – 199, -11) … Tied for 10th at the Pac-12 Championship (71-73-73-69 – 286, +2) … Averaged 73.74 strokes per round across six events played as a freshman.
