Li Finishes as Runner-Up at Dixie Amateur


POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Duke women’s golf signee Katie Li carded three rounds in the 60s over a span of four days of action at the Women’s Dixie Amateur en route to finishing in a tie for first, before falling in a playoff at the Palm Aire Country Club in Pompano Beach, Fla.

A native of Basking Ridge, N.J., Li turned in rounds of 68, 68, 71 and 68 to finish with a 9-under, 275, to finish in a tie for first along with Emma Schimpf.  Li registered seven birdies in the final round and fell in the third playoff hole to Schimpf.  

Over the 72 holes, Li led the field with 17 birdies.
