Virginia Men's Golf | Four Hoos to Compete at Sharkey Individual Collegiate

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s golf team will have four competitors in the field for the 2023 Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate that is hosted by Georgia Southern in Stateboro, Ga. The two-day, 54-hole stroke-play event takes place Feb. 5-6 at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course. There is no team scoring for this event.

The schedule calls for 36 holes of stroke play on Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. The final round on Monday will also feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

The field includes individuals from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Liberty, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Ohio State, South Carolina, USCB, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Virginia players who will participate include grad student Jack Montague, sophomore Matthew Monastero, freshman Bryan Lee and junior Grayson Wotnosky.

Last year Jaron Leasure led a contingent of five Cavaliers by tying for third place at the event. He shot 4-over 220.
