ATHENS, Ga. – No. 4 South Carolina carded a field-best score of 284 (-4) on Saturday to move into second place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The Gamecocks were one of just three teams in the field to post a red number in round two.

Senior Mathilde Claisse led the team with a big bounce back round of 69 (-3) where she made just one bogey and four birdies. Sophomore All-American Louise Rydqvist shot 71 (-1) with birdies on three of her five final holes of the rounds. She’s one shot back of leader Elina Sinz of Auburn.

Fellow sophomore All-American Hannah Darling climbed the leaderboard into a tie for 10th after also shooting 71 (-1). She made three birdies and had an eagle at the par-5 17th hole.
