Women’s Golf Releases Fall Competition Schedule


COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Maryland women’s golf team released its 2023 fall competition schedule Tuesday. The Terrapins will compete in four fall events and seven in the spring season.

“The fall season will be a tough test for our team and includes some of the best competition in the country,” head coach Kelly Hovland said. “We are really excited to build off the momentum of last season and will use our experience to contend in each event this fall.”

Maryland will open its 2023-24 slate Sept. 11-12 in the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston, at the Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, S.C.

The following week, the Terrapins will compete in Michigan State’s Mary Fossum Invitational Sept. 17-18 at the Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.

The Terps will close the month of September with a trip to the West Coast to play in Cal’s Molly Collegiate Invitational at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. Sept. 25-26. 

Maryland will play in the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship, hosted by Tennessee, for the eighth straight season. The event will be played at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn. Oct 15-17.

The Terrapins will close out their fall competition schedule competing in the Landfall Tradition event, hosted by UNC Wilmington, at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C. Oct. 28-30.
