Campos Leads UCLA After Day One at Pac-12 Championships


PHOENIX, Ariz. – Zoe Antoinette Campos led the No. 24 UCLA women’s golf team with a score of 1-under 71 to put her in a tie for 10th after round one of the Pac-12 Championships at Papago Golf Club on Monday. The Bruins are in ninth place at 8-over par for the tournament.
 
In first place No. 14 USC at 9-under. The Trojans shot a collective 14-under on the back nine. Stanford’s Rose Zhang is on top of the individual leaderboard with a 5-under 67 in her first round.
 
Campos has now shot under par in six of her last seven rounds with a 69.4 scoring average across that stretch. The reigning two-time Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Week birdied three times in her 18 holes today.
 
A trio of Bruins – Caroline Canales, Alessia Nobilio and Annabel Wilson – are tied for 39th at 3-over 75. Yoshihara is in 53rd place following an 8-over 80 in round one.
 
UCLA tees off for the second round on hole 10 at 8:56 a.m. (PT) tomorrow morning.
