Men’s Golf Heads to Chicago

The Missouri men’s golf team continues action during the fall season, competing at the Chicago Highlands Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

The Tigers are set for 36 holes on Monday, teeing off on the first hole at 9:10 a.m., before wrapping up the tournament on Tuesday with 18 additional holes.

Mizzou is one of 14 schools competing at the tournament, joined on the course by College of Charleston, Duke, Furman, Houston, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia, Wake Forest and Yale.

Hosting the tournament is the Chicago Highlands Club in Westchester, Illinois – a par-72 course that measures 7,490 yards.

LUNDIN LEADS MIZZOU

One constant so far this year is the performance of senior Jack Lundin. Lundin has posted an even-par score or better in all six rounds so far this season – leading the Tigers at the season-opening Golfweek Collegiate Kickoff before finishing second on the team at the Mirabel Maui Jim Invitational – just one stroke off the team lead.

Overall, the senior owns a 69.17 stroke average so far in 2023-24 – 2.5 strokes ahead of the second-best Tiger through two tournaments.

The rookie carded a one-under 212 over the three rounds to place 46th overall behind back-to-back 70s to finish the tournament. Overall, the rookie place third on the team in Arizona.
