A year after making its debut, the LIV Golf League is back in London for its ninth event of the season at the Centurion Golf Club.
Last time around, Charl Schwartzel claimed the title at the circuit’s inaugural event.
On Friday, Cameron Smith got off to a hot start posting an 8-under 63 to earn himself the 18-hole lead alongside his fellow Aussie and Ripper GC teammate, Marc Leishman.
Thomas Pieters of RangeGoats GC sits in solo third after a 5-under 66. His teammate and last week’s winner Talor Gooch is part of a three-way tie for fourth at 4 under.
On the team side, Ripper GC (13 under) holds a three-shot lead over RangeGoats GC (10 under) and a five-shot lead over Majesticks GC (8 under).
